Race Info

Take on the city with the Sprint Distance at the Toronto Triathlon. It’s the perfect challenge for beginners and seasoned racers alike! Plus, this race offers one qualification opportunity per age group and gender for the 2027 World Triathlon Age Group Championship in Hamburg, Germany!

The Gardiner at Full Speed

Swim: A protected waters swim at Ontario Place on Lake Ontario. Course maps are subject to change. Final routes will be confirmed closer to race day.

The Swim Starts Here

Ontario Place's protected harbor is where your race begins. The water is fresh, calm, and clear. Unlike open ocean racing, you won't fight currents or whitecaps. The 750-meter swim builds confidence from the moment you enter.

Parallel to the shoreline, watching the city skyline. Safe. Supported. Real.

RACE THE SPRINT

20 Kilometers of Unbroken Speed

The Gardiner and Don Valley Parkway close for Toronto Triathlon. Twenty kilometers of pavement that's normally locked behind barriers becomes yours.

No traffic. No turns. No excuses. Just pace and power. The closed expressway is where PRs happen. It's where you discover what you're truly capable of.

SECURE YOUR SPOT

The 5K That Celebrates

Five kilometers through downtown Toronto. Lake Shore Boulevard. Spectators lining the run course. The CN Tower looming larger with every stride. You've already conquered the swim and the bike. Now the finish line is waiting.

This isn't just a run. It's the victory lap of your Toronto Triathlon.

FAQs

Supertri Toronto follows Triathlon Ontario rules. Wetsuits are permitted if the water temperature is 24.6°C or below. Water temperatures in July are typically cool, so this will likely be a wetsuit swim. The water temperature will be measured 1 hour before the start and communicated to all athletes.

Our water safety team includes fully qualified lifeguards and bank-based lifeguards on pontoons. If you experience difficulty, lie on your back and raise your arm. A kayak will come to you. The swim takes place in the protected waters of Ontario Place's West Channel and Inner Harbour.

Your bike must be road-worthy and comply with Triathlon Ontario rules. Handlebars must have stoppers (no bare metal). An approved cycling safety helmet is mandatory. Fixed-wheel bikes are not permitted. Triathlon Ontario technical officials will be on-site to verify compliance.

You'll start at Ontario Place's protected West Channel and Inner Harbour with a feet-first entry from a floating dock (no diving). After exiting via a ramp, you'll walk approximately 250 meters to the transition zone. The Sprint run features two aid stations with water and WakeWater electrolyte.

Cut-off times will be confirmed closer to race day. Check official race communications for the latest information.
