Your First Triathlon, Your Best First Impression

Three transitions. Three disciplines. One incredible Saturday.

SuperSprint is designed for athletes ready to discover what they're truly capable of. You don't need a road bike or expensive gear. You don't need to have raced before. You need willingness and a week of training we'll guide you through.

Foster Beach is calm, welcoming, and filled with volunteer support. Chicago's streets are closed just for you. The lakefront run feels like victory before you even cross the finish line.

Your first triathlon should inspire you to sign up for your second. SuperSprint is how that happens.

RACE THE SUPERSPRINT

The Divvy Wave — Race Chicago on Chicago Bikes

No road bike? No problem. No aero bars? Exactly.

The Divvy Wave puts you on one of Chicago's iconic shared bikes for the entire 10-kilometer bike leg. You'll join other athletes choosing the Divvy option and experience Chicago the way the city was meant to be experienced: pedaling through streets, not hiding behind drop bars.

It's accessible. It's fun. It's totally Chicago. And it's full racing—your time counts, your finish is official, your medal is earned.

Divvy Wave spots are limited and fill fast. Same-day registration is available; book early if this is your race.

SECURE YOUR SPOT

Everything You Need, Saturday at Foster Beach

Packet pickup. Transition setup. Wave assignments. Spectator parking. Pre-race briefing. We've handled every detail so you can focus on the race.

Our Quick Guide covers parking locations, what to bring, transition logistics, gear rules, and timing. The First Timer Program includes email coaching leading up to race day: what to eat, when to train, how to prep your mind.

Saturday morning, you'll walk into transition confident. You'll recognize volunteers from the briefing. You'll see other first-timers and realize you're not alone. You'll finish with a medal and a story that changes everything.

That's the Supertri difference: we design world-class courses AND we take care of you.

FAQs

SuperSprint does not enforce strict time cutoffs on Saturday. However, participants may be asked to abbreviate their bike course portion as streets will eventually be reopened to vehicular traffic.

Water temperature ranges from 72°F to 75.5°F (22°C to 24°C). Check current conditions 24 hours before race day.

Wetsuits are optional and depend on water temperature. At these temperatures, wetsuits are allowed and count for awards if worn. Wetsuits must be 5mm thick or less.

Our water safety team includes fully qualified lifeguards and bank-based responders. If you get into difficulty, lie on your back and raise your arm; a kayak will come to you. You can exit the water safely and take time to recover.

Your bike must be road-worthy and compliant with USAT rules. Your handlebars must have stoppers (no bare metal ends), and you must wear an approved cycling safety helmet. Fixed-wheel bikes are not permitted.
