Race Day Experience

You'll arrive early, settle into transition with time to spare. Wave starts are organized to keep the swim uncrowded. The water is supported the entire way. The bike route is well-marked and closed to traffic. The run feels faster than it is, carried by the energy of other athletes and the palace grounds around you.

Early June in the Cotswolds brings mild temperatures, typically 55-68°F. Morning starts keep you cool on the bike. Bring a wetsuit for the lake. Water temps run 60-66°F in June. Come prepared to enjoy the experience. Post-race, the palace grounds are open to finishers. Fuel up. Walk the historic gardens. The festival atmosphere continues all day.
